About Us - Megawatt Mosaic

About Us

Megawatt Mosaic Ltd has been formed to supercharge BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) and Solar deployment throughout Southern Europe.

The phrase “Megawatt Mosaic” entered use due to the common realisation that increasingly, as we move towards “net zero”, environmental power generation technologies need to work together, in harmony, to provide energy to the grid exactly when it is needed by off-takers, with as little as possible dissipation/wastage from grid losses such as sound and heat.

The three studies that MW Mosaic will complete are Grid Study, Archaeological Study and Environmental Studies, after which MW Mosaic will sell the studies on or look to be commissioned by various IPPs (Independent Power Producers) to develop the sites on the IPP’s behalf in return for success fees.

The environmental project development market is, however, very fragmented, featuring various actors/opportunists with little experience and understanding of the megawatt hour mosaic that makes up every grid in Europe. MW Mosaic will filter these actors and their project opportunities, complete early stage feasibility of the project sites and will sell the studies on or look to be commissioned by larger institutions to develop the sites on their behalf. As of today, MW Mosaic has identified 200 MW of potential BESS sites in Italy, where grids require urgent optimisation (load shifting/ load shaping). Yet opportunities for rapid deployment of energy storage and renewables exist all over southern Europe.
